The new growth of New Guinea impatiens can be severely stunted and distorted by cyclamen mite, creating symptoms that resemble those caused by INSV or even thrips. Selective controls for cyclamen mite are needed since materials used for spider mites are not necessarily effective against cyclamen mite.
