Swedish ivy is a host of broad mite, which causes a downward curling of the margins of the immature leaves. The mites themselves are very tiny and translucent and difficult to see even with a hand lens. Send a sample to a diagnostic lab for microscopic examination if broad mite damage is suspected. Use miticides specifically labeled for broad mite.
